Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student: W1 - describes the structure of living organisms at every level of the organization [KB_W06]; W2 - distinguishes plant taxa occurring within synanthropic habitats [KB_W12]. Skills Student: U1 - carries out observations in the field properly. He or she interprets and discusses the results and formulates appropriate conclusions, using the scientific terminology in the field of biology. He or she uses the entrusted equipment efficiently and safely [KB_U06]; U2 - determinates the affiliation to the genus or species level based on morphology, using determination keys [KB_U10]; U3 - observes the impact of environmental factors on the organism, population, and biocenosis [KB_U11].
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitutes and behaviuors) Student: K1 - is aware of the effects of working in a group. He or she is able to interact and work in a group, performing various roles in it [KB_K02]; K2 - is sensitive to nature as a set of cognitive, aesthetic, educational, economic and tourism values. He is aware of the importance of biodiversity and actively promotes its protection and care of the quality and future of the environment [KB_K04]; K3 - is willing to cooperate with official and non-governmental organizations for the protection of biodiversity and decrease of the effects of anthropogenic impact [KB_K05]; K4 - respects the work of others and is oriented to the safe and effective cooperation. He or she takes care of his or her own work safety and others [KB_K09].

Course content: Knowledge of the biodiversity of plants occurring in the immediate human environment. Determination of common plant species and their diagnostic features. Fluent labour with the determination keys directly in the field.
