Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student can define and describe the principles of nutrition in selected disease entities. It is characterized by basic concepts related to nutrition issues, defines the basic division therapeutic diets. It describes and differentiates between individual diet. It identifies risk factors of various diseases. Recognizes the risks associated with irrational nutrition. Competition: The student is able to assess the nutritional needs of the sick and nutritional diagnosis. He can use the current standards and dietary guidelines. The student is able to plan appropriate dietoterapię based on nutritional status and health of the patient. Able to assess the efficacy of the recommended dietoterapii using appropriate methods and tools. Selects the various diets for a specific condition.

Competences: The student understands the necessity of lifelong learning - raising professional and personal competences, act in accordance with the principles of ethics in the profession of nutritional adviser. Is aware of responsibility for other people, knows how to perceive a relationship with a prospective patient. He is aware of the responsibility associated with the profession of human nutrition issues.

Prerequisites: Human Physiology, Human Nutrition

Course content: As a result of the learning process, the student should learn the basics of nutrition principles of diet in selected disease entities including: the assessment of the dietary needs of people sick.
