Learning outcomes: The student has basic knowledge about the factors that determine the functioning and development of rural areas, understands the importance of sustainable development at farm level, region and country. He knows and characterizes the most important groups of pests; He is aware of their importance for man and the environment; He knows the scope, tasks, and methods of plant protection products and their impact on the environment. Obtains information from literature, databases, interprets them and draw conclusions, knows how to formulate and justify their own opinions; It uses the core databases, decision support. knows how to draw up a project to develop the engineering for plant protection products, presents the way of its implementation; It has the ability to accurately communicate through a variety of media sources. plans simple pest monitoring systems; knows how to take action to reduce pests; is able to diagnose and assess environmental risks caused by human activity agriculture

Competences: Students can work individually and manage a team, he will be able accept assuming responsibility for the effects of his work. It is aware of the individual and social responsibility to the environment and quality of food produced; knows how to anticipate the impacts of the activities undertaken; can indicate risk minimization activities.

Prerequisites: Diagnostics technology for plant protection, pests and diseases of different groups of plants.

Course content: Engineering thesis formal arrangement. The concepts and principles of creating engineering thesis. Bibliography and work with literature on the subject. Planning and engineering thesis items. The structure and hierarchy of the text in the studies tight. The role of the individual chapters in engineering thesis. The role of tools and computer programs in developing engineering thesis.
