Learning outcomes: Knowledge He knows and is able to select the valuation method of the environment subjected to anthropopression connected with tourism, knows the effects and risks of the tourism impact on the environment, knows the basic terms used in tourism, is able rationally plan touristic usage, knows basic Polish touristic resources. Skills: He is able to make the valorization of the natural environment for touristic purposes, knows the rules of natural environment use for tourism. Describes and evaluates environmental risks of touristic anthropopressure based on observation and research in the field. He is able to adapt appropriate test method for the analysis of the environment under the tourism influence, is able to assess the threat caused by tourism, is able to recognize and evaluate the environmental degradation caused by tourism, can develop a plan of tourism development taking into account natural conditions, is able to propose actions to reduce the impact of tourism on the environment.
Competences: Social competence: Is aware of individual and social responsibility for the environment , is able to predict environmental impacts of man activities; is able to propose activities which would minimalize environmental risk. Reveals the need to learn the current issues in the range of environmental protection; inspires others to take an interest in these issues; can reliably and accessibly provide information concerning the environment. Understands the need for training throughout life on issues relating to environmental protection.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge and skills in the field of environmental protection equivalent to the effects of education first degree studies.
Course content: Basics concepts and terminology used in tourism. Polish touristic resources. Assessment of natural resources in the context of their touristic usefulness and sensitivity to touristic degradation. The influence of tourism on the environment. Rational use and localization of the touristic base. The possibility of preventing and reducing the influence of tourism on the environment. Safety during tourism.
