Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student knows the organizational, legal and economic grounds for the operation of enterprises, especially working in the sector of renewable energy and waste management. Understands the role of invention and innovation in the development of the company. He knows the essence of invention and innovation, the conditions necessary for their creation, understand what are the relationships between science and inventiveness and innovation. He also knows the organizational and economic conditions resulting from the implementation of innovation, [R2 OŻE_W04; R2 OŻE_W05; R2 OŻE_W08]. Skills: The student acquires the creative abilities to analyze information contained in databases and management of intellectual property. He can use the elements of engineering ingenuity, brainstorming, visual thinking, in generating ideas and inventions. Know how to evaluate their suitability for practical use and is able to formulate the essence of a patent application, it can also determine the scope of the invention, [R2 OŻE_U01; R2 OŻE_U02; R2 OŻE_U08; R2 OŻE_U13].

Competences: Social competence: In the consciousness of the student's attitude is emphasized more creative, more energetic and optimistic attitude to fulfill the order. Also emphasized is the need for a permanent improvement in the field of renewable energy and waste management, [R2 OŻE_K01; R2 OŻE_K02; R2 OŻE_K07].

Prerequisites: Marketing, Production and Services Management

Course content: The role of innovation in the modern world. Factors stimulating its development. The relationships between science and innovation and inventiveness. The role of the University of the Third Generation. Elements of engineering ingenuity, brainstorming, visualizing thoughts, etc. The essence of invention, the scope of protection of industrial property, the methodology of formulating inventive application. Sources of financing the implementation of innovation. Processes fundraising, business records.
