Learning outcomes: Knowledge: student has knowledge about recognize different species, which are ancestors or relatives of pets; student describes they biology, occurrence and characteristic; student determinde the differences in structure of the body, behaviour, genetics etc., which are as effects of evolution and domestication. Skills: student compares wilde and domestic species and can define changes which are results of domestication process; student analyzes condition of population and human influence.

Competences: Student is aware of the responsibility for shaping the population and its evolutions; student understands the need to predict consequences of actions taken in nature.

Prerequisites: zoology, evolutionary

Course content: The overall purpose of the course is to introduce students with pets systematic; ancestors and evolution of pets; relatives species to pets – they characteristic and biology; effects of domestication in field of they biology and behaviour; changes in genetics of this species.

Assessment methods: Assessment classes: attendance is obligatory; student can have only one unexcused absence. Completion of the course: students apply writing test in the examination session. The test takes 60 minutes.
