Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1 - describes in detail the species of contemporary Primates [KB2_W02_BC]; W2 - defines the basic problems of ethology particular groups of Primates [KB2_W05_BC]; W3 – explains the methods of adaptation Primates to the environment [KB2_W05]; W4 - knows the anatomy and morphological differentiation of the living primates [KB2_W01_BC]. Skills: Student: U1 – recognizes the different species of Primates based on the details of the anatomy [KB2_U03_BC]; U2 – performs laboratory research tasks of comparative anatomy skeletons of modern species Primates [KB2_U01; KB2_U03_BC].

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1 – planning research tasks adjusted to the conditions, their equipment and capabilities [KB2_K03];

Prerequisites: zoology, comparative anatomy of vertebrates

Course content: essentials characterization of Primates and selected groups of Haplorhini and Strepsirhini; issues concerning Primates observed in patterns of behavior and evolutionary adaptation, biological and cultural features of human against the background of primates.

Assessment methods: Completion of the course: written examination of the lecture and tutorials - written test (40 closed questions). Assessment takes 80 min.
