Learning outcomes: Knowledge: A student 1.can recognize architectural details of a given historical style; 2. can use small architecture in small towns and big cities; 3. pays attention to the beauty of a city and its landscape. Skills: Students: 1. know how to draw and dimension their idea of particular architectural details; 2. distinguish and assign pieces of sculpture and railings to apprioprate styles; 3. can locate architectural details for the sake of the needs of the disabled.

Competences: Social competences: A student can work in a team to "discover" interesting details and small architecture.

Prerequisites: Hand drawing The participation in workshops, exhibitions, open air painting sessions highly recommended.

Course content: Architectural details characteristic of a particular style. Learning how to draw and dimension individual ideas of architectural details in cityscape. The influence of details and small architecture on the beauty of a city. Defensive elements, walls, battlements, towers and gates. Balconies, oriels, bay and French windows, loggias, portals, window framings, niches as witnesses of successive epochs. Historical and contemporary facades, arcades, the culminations of the buildings, tops, attics, facade and sill cornices.
