Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Knows the concept of mathematical statistics and models of selected processes in nature. He knows the rules of collecting and processing of empirical Knows the legal and the natural and technical solutions to mitigate the effects of human impact and repair damage to the environment. Skills: Able to analyze data using basic statistical tests and to develop the results of the use of computational techniques of information. Independently and in a team performs basic research tasks.Applies the principles of scientific work or project. He can make the classification and valuation of selected environment elements, according to the specialization of study.

Competences: Competence: Social competence: Understands the need for a thorough and reliable study of literature related to the upcoming issue of the master thesis.

Prerequisites: Environmental Physics; Soil Science

Course content: Physical, economic and social importance of erosion. Forms and mechanisms of water and wind erosion. Water erosion prediction methods. The degree of soil erosion risk in Poland. Erosion treatments.
