Learning outcomes: learning outcomes: Student is acquainted with theoretical and practical principles of organic farm management. A particular emphasis is placed on production and virtues of organic food. The aspect of environmental protection is also included in the course.

Competences: competences: After completing the course student is able to point out the differences between conventional and organic method of crop and animal production. The completion of course will allow to know better the market of food as well as it will increase awarness and attitude during shopping. Student will be able to take the discussion on food origin. Course content: Course contents: Trends in organic farming. Organic agroecosystem characterization: plant production, tillage, plant nutrition, plant protection, principles of breeding, grasslands, horticulture. Quality and safety of organic food. Organic food features. Processing of organic products. Environmental protection. Biodynamic farming. Organic farming law regulations.
