Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student have a knowledge of subject, methods and functions of economic science. Student knows laws of market economy. Student knows behavior of economic entities and dependences between markets. Student have a knowledge of market competition. Skills: Student can describe market processes from the public welfare’s perspective. Student can evaluate forms of market competition.

Competences: Student is prepared for the active participation in social groups and to implement soci-economical projects. Student can enlarge and perfect his knowledge and skills.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of mathematics and civics at high school level

Course content: Market. Law of demand. Law of supply. Market equilibrium, Elasticity. Private households. Consumer behavior. Production theory. Perfect and imperfect Competition. Firm equilibrium. Alternative enterprise theory. Principles of welfare economy. Factors of production’s market.
