Learning outcomes: Knowledge: It has a basic knowledge in the design of systems and devices for the acquisition and use of wind energy and hydropower R1 RES _W05 It has an elementary knowledge of the law R1 RES _W07 Has a general knowledge of systems, technologies, techniques, equipment and tools used in the production of energy from renewable sources selected. R1OŹE _W11 skills: Able to obtain information from the literature, databases, and other sources; can integrate the information obtained, to make their interpretation, as well as to draw conclusions and formulate and justify opinions. R1OŹE_U01 Able to identify and determine the specificity of simple engineering tasks and to develop documentation on the task of engineering and prepare a text containing a discussion of the results of this task R1OŹE _U03 Able to solve using standard engineering activities and operational production problems in the field of renewable energy sources, while taking account of the requirements associated with care for the environment R1OŹE _U11

Competences: Social competence: Is aware of the importance, responsibility and consequences of engineering activities towards renewable energy and waste management in terms of responsibility for the quality of life for people and the environment. R1OŹE _K02 He can think and act in an entrepreneurial way, he knows the rules for creating individual entrepreneurship R1OŹE _K06

Prerequisites: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics

Course content: Design concepts for energy systems based on renewable energy sources in households and in the Region. Rules and algorithms design masts and wind turbine towers. Siting Rules in the field. Calculation of energy abstracted level measurement tower and at the height of the wind turbine nacelle. Designing a hydroelectric power station. Hydrological calculations, selection of turbines. Guidelines and requirements of the installation area. Investment procedures. The environmental risk assessment.
