Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Students will develop a basic understanding of the natural environment, environmental protection and possible threats. They will explore the legal aspects of environmental education in Poland and worldwide. The course participants will gain knowledge about strategies and tactics for communicating about environment. R1 OŹE_W10 Skills: Students will be capable of obtaining information from the literature, databases, and other sources. They will learn how to plan and conduct classes on the environmental education for children, teenagers and adults. Students will be are capable of preparing national media campaigns related to renewable energy and waste management. The course participants will be prepared to assess the effectiveness of educational campaigns by means of a SWOT analysis. R1OŹE_U01

Competences: Competences: Students will be aware of the consequences of their actions in terms of environmental responsibility. They will recognize the need for the environmental education of children, teenagers and adults. During the course, the students will build and conduct educational campaigns, and will understand the need for further training. R1OŹE_K02

Prerequisites: Sozology

Course content: By attending lectures, the students will develop a basic understanding of the natural environment, environmental protection and possible threats. They will review national and international legal regulations pertaining to the environmental education. Students will learn about modern strategies and tactics for communicating about environment. By attending classes the participants will learn how to: a) prepare lesson plans for participants from different age groups; b) produce a draft of a large educational campaign related to renewable energy and waste management.
