Learning outcomes: Student acquires theoretical knowledge and practical skills regarding new trends and modern construction equipment and machinery for animal production. Able to make a choice of machines and equipment in terms of ensuring the efficiency of livestock production including the automation and improvement of animal welfare. Draws attention to the quality assurance systems in obtaining raw materials of ISO, HACCP, TQM.

Competences: Student is able to: - identify new trends in animal production, - to make the selection of machinery and equipment in livestock production including the possibility of automation, - perform diagnostics, milking equipment, - indicate the organizational and technical aspects of implementation of robots for milking cows

Prerequisites: Mechanization of Animal Production, Automation

Course content: New technologies in animal production engineering. Herd management systems (ALPRO, Kodatron, Afifarm). Systems and technologies in the feeding areas for dairy cattle - new trends. Influence of parameters of milking equipment on the quality of milk. Diagnosis of milking equipment and milking conditions. Quality management systems (HACCP, TQM) to ensure high quality milk. Stimulation function of the liner in the process of milking cows. Organizational and technical aspects of implementation of robots for milking cows in the barns. Methods for processing feed material ennobling. Technology in housing in terms of welfare. Modern technology security solutions in the electrical housing.
