Learning outcomes: Student possesses a practical knowledge about the system of environmental monitoring and assessment in Poland. The training is performed in the laboratories of surveys dealing with environmental monitoring and control, or in other laboratories that in regular way carry out the analyses of water, wastewater, food or particular compartment of the environment.
Competences: Student is able to choose and design a set of analytical methods and the range of necessary analyses to assess environmental quality. They posses ability to interpret the results of particular laboratory analyses.
Prerequisites: Water management, Soil protection, Degraded land reclamation, Waste management
Course content: Environmental monitoring. Methods of assessment the quality of environment. Basic methods of analytical chemistry and biological analysis of water and food. Regulations of environmental quality. Elements of environmental law.

Assessment methods: written and oral report. Minimum for passing: 60 percent
