Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student is familiar with the essence of the composition. The student has the knowledge in relation to the rules of composition and seperation of elements. He or she is able to define the attributes of compositional elements and determine the compositional dependence. Skills: The student can organize compositional arrangement, select the measures and identify the objective of compositional activity. He or she can predict the effect of compositional procedures in the field of endogenous and exogenous. He can apply the effect of composite actions using two- and three- dimensional scale.
Competences: Social competences: The student is aware of the occurrence of the principles of composition in the context of the reality as well as the importance of conscious processes of composing in design process with regard to landscape architecture. He is able to find the use of these skills in landscape architecture discipline
Prerequisites: Elementary knowledge of drawing and painting
Course content: 1. The presence of compositional operations in relation to landscape architecture objects. 2. Compositional elements: the point, line, plane, solid - characteristics of property. 3. Attributes of the compositional elements: shape, size, color, texture, direction; Characteristics of compositional elements as a base to create visual structures. 4. Relations between elements- relations as a prerequisite for the creation of composite systems. 5. The Structures ordering a composite systems. 6. The spatial values of composite arrangements. 7. The importance of the empty space in composite systems. 8. Unity as a primary value of composite systems. 9. The rules of perception in Gestalt theory - their importance in visual structures. 10. Ephemeral phenomena and the role of the case, a joke, an experiment in the process of composition.
