Learning outcomes: Student has the knowledge of trade policy instruments implemented in different countries, the factors influencing the international financial relations and the causes and possibilities of solving contemporary financial crises.

Competences: Student is able to determine the cause and effects of duties, non-tariff barriers and protectionism in international trade. He is able to use the information on the balance of payments and exchange rate in economic analysis. He is theoretically prepared to work in units focused on international cooperation.

Prerequisites: International economic relations

Course content: Internationalization of economy processes, imposing duties and its consequences, non-tariff barriers, dumping, protectionism in international trading, balance of payments, economic integration, exchange rate, foreign exchange market, policy adjustment, international monetary system, financial crises ,globalization - advantages and risks.

Assessment methods: Classes: developing of a case study – 25%, test – 75%. Lectures – written exam – minimum of knowledge to pass- 60%.
