Learning outcomes: Knowledge: W1 – Knows the mechanisms of evolution (BI_W07; PIA_W04) W2 – Knows basic effects of work safety and ergonomics (BI_W18; PIA_W09). Skills: U1 – makes use of available information sources, including electronic ones (BI_U05; PIA_U04) U2 – performer observations and makes basic biological measurements on site or in laboratory (BI_U08; PIA_U05). Social competences (attitudes): K1 – understands the need of whole life learning (BI_K01; PIA_K01)
Competences:
Prerequisites: genetics, animals anatomy and physiology
Course content: Basic definitions related to animal behavior, characteristics of behavior categories and forms, standards of daily behaviors, genetic and physiological conditions of animal behaviors, practicals application of the knowledge of animal behavior (social, sexual behavior, care of progeny, aggressive and exploring behaviors, subordination), their modifications, stress phenomenon, behavior and welfare.
