Learning outcomes: The student possesses a knowledge of selection the traits deciding about the usefulness for intercropping. He will be introduced to favorable and unfavorable conditioning of intercropping. The student recognizes ecological, organizational and economic criteria of intercropping system. The student is able to select the species and on the base of source material is able to determine their usefulness to intercropping. The student can use essential information to determine the proportions of mixture and develop the technology of their cultivation. Student can prepare in written form the study taking into account the ecological aspect of intercropping.

Competences: The student is aware of the need of educating and enhancing the qualifications. He responsibly takes action. He can cooperate in the group.

Prerequisites: Botany, Soil Science, Soil and plant management, Agricultural engineering

Course content: The rules of selection of species to intercropping. Ecological conditions of mixed cultivation. The rules of agrotechnic of plants in intercropping. The indexes of efficiency of intercropping.
