Prerequisites: Thermodynamics, Physics, Acquisition of energy from renewable sources

Course content: Formal and legal issues, principles and algorithms to optimize the operation of the equipment in the energy sector. Systems of low-carbon heating systems. Heat transfer through the insulation and the heat balance of the building. Optimizing the thickness and type of insulation. Optimizing power equipment: fans, pumps, radiators, heat recovery units, heat exchangers, boilers, furnaces, etc. Automation optimization. Economic and environmental aspects at the optimization.

Assessment methods: Assessment of education effects in terms of knowledge: credit of written exam, credit of all tutorials/projects.
