Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student knows the principles of writing a dissertation; has an extended knowledge of the chosen specialization in food technology and human nutrition. Skills: Student is able to find materials to develop the chosen dissertation topic; can use a variety of scientific data bases; knows how to prepare a presentation based on materials obtained from various sources and can perform a presentation in front of an audience; takes part in discussions on the problems related to the dissertation topic; is able to evaluate critically the results of various research.

Competences: Social skills (Attitude): Student is aware of the progress of knowledge in the field of agricultural sciences, particularly in food technology and human nutrition; can independently and critically supplement their knowledge and skills in related fields of science; can assess preparation and presentation of issues related to the topics of other students’ diploma dissertations; takes active part in discussions.

Prerequisites: technologies relevant to students’ specialisation

Course content: associated with the problems relevant to the topics of the students’ diploma dissertations

Recommended literature: Polish and foreign-language professional journals in the fields of agriculture, food technology, and human nutrition.

Assessment methods: Preparation and presentation of topics related to the development of the M.Sc. dissertations, active participation in discussions.
