Language of instruction: Polish

Learning outcomes: Students acquire theoretical knowledge about the impact of work items on the soil of agricultural machinery and materials of agricultural origin and can be properly used in the design of machines. It explains the impact of machines on soil and plant materials in terms of design optimization, energy consumption and effects of cultivation treatment. Identifies and defines the basic physical and mechanical properties of agricultural materials that determine the correctness of the technical and kinematic structure. The student acquires the ability to interpret the basic phenomena occurring at the interface between the machine-soil-plant. Demonstrates knowledge of proper selection of shapes, kinematics and dynamics of machines used in agricultural engineering. Acquires the ability to optimize the design of components of agricultural machinery. Able to choose appropriate methods and technologies to solve design problems depending on the variables of tasks.

Competences: The student demonstrates an understanding of phenomena occurring at the interface between the material of biological origin and components of machines used in field crop production. Assess and explain the impact of machinery on the soil and the materials of vegetable origin. Recognizes the principles of proper selection of construction machinery parts for their ergonomics, ease of operation and control, effective use and environmental impact farming. It shows the need for self-improvement and training in the use of modern construction solutions in the field of agricultural engineering.

Prerequisites: physics, mathematics, machine parts, theory of mechanisms, technology of materials, basic construction machinery, agricultural and forestry science of mechanics, engineering graphics

Course content: On base of topical state of theoretical and empirical knowledge, from range of account occurs among elements or subassembly of agricultural machines and soil and plants, analysis of design – premise is executed, and then students are execute projects of select elements or subassembly of machines. Design part includes shapes of working surface, kinematics and dynamics of tools. Selected problems include passive and active tillage and seedbed preparation tools and devices to harvest and transformation of stalk and straw materials.
