Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student knows the chosen problems in the field of environmental protection connected with diploma theme problems. He has basic knowledge in the area of the intellectual property security and the patent right. Skills: Obtains information linked to the thesis theme from literature, databases, and other information sources OŚ1_U12. Knows how to properly interpreted, combine and critically evaluate obtained information and basis on their formulate practical conclusions. Prepare a written study on a selected, specific issues in the field of the environmental protection, using various information sources, including the law, and their properly citing. Independently solve a predetermined engineering problem, prepares a conceptual design and detailed project dedicated to the engineering task OŚ1_U15. Know how to of technically, editorially, correctly and aesthetically prepare an engineer thesis . Presents independently prepared project and rationally justifies adopted solutions.

Competences: Social competence: Complies the principles of professional ethics and the secure of intellectual property, using data from various information sources. He has developed sensitivity on the environmental problems. He use rational arguments in favor of solutions to protect the environment, according to the concept of sustainable development.

Prerequisites: Basic courses linked with engineer thesis theme.

Course content: Detailed contents adapted to the theme of diploma work. The technique and the rules of writing theses.

Assessment methods: Assessment methods: Knowledge: Diploma thesis evaluation regards to the content of the theoretical part as well as for correctness suggested proposal and the performed calculations. Skills: Validation of the adopted in the engineering thesis solutions. Diploma thesis evaluation in formal, editorial and aesthetic terms. Evaluation of arguments presented on the diploma defence. Social competence: Control of dissertation in the anti-plagiarism system. Assessment of student competence at the stage of thesis preparation and defence.
