Learning outcomes: Knowledge After the course the student is aware of the theoretical basics of chromatographic methods. Depending on the structure of a chemical compound, student uses gas chromatography equipped with a flame ionization or mass detector or high pressure liquid chromatography. Skills: The student knows how to prepare a sample for analysis. The student is able to perform quantitative analysis and make conclusions on this basis that the quality.

Competences: Student is a creative, capable of solving the problems presented a lecture. In the course of the discussion is active and open to the opinion of others, aware of the rapidly progressive development of the biological sciences.

Prerequisites: organic chemistry, physical chemistry

Course content: Presentation of physico-chemical basics of chromatographic methods. The acquisition of skills to choose appropriate chromatographic techniques. Demystify and chromatographic apparatus. Discussion of the applications of chromatographic techniques in the analysis of food.
