Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student knows the basic environmental conditions and has a general knowledge of the methods of decision-making in the rural economy to improve the quality of human life; knows the basic principles of management of natural resources; understands the impact of farming on the environment; knows the systems of agricultural production; He knows basic agro technical concepts. Skills Student can distinguish between crops, vegetables, fruit, grass and weeds; is able to apply the knowledge when laying rotation and minimize the negative impacts of agricultural production on the environment; is able to offer basic agricultural practices to minimize the negative impact on the natural environment.

Competences: Student is aware of the responsibility for rational management of the natural environment; understands the importance of proper agricultural technology for agriculture and the environment.

Prerequisites: -

Course content: Natural environment in Poland, and its suitability for agricultural production. The tasks and role of agriculture. Shaping the environment of agricultural land. Water and nourishment management of agroecosystems; natural and agronomic requirements of crops (climatic requirements, water, soil, food); tasks, technique and technology of cultivation and fertilization. Protection and management of grassland. Sustainable grassland management. Agricultural livestock production and the environment formation. Modern trends in agriculture, agricultural production systems (conventional integrated, eco-friendly and bio-dynamic and special).
