Learning outcomes: Student knows basic definitions and formulas from linear algebra. He knows several methods to calculating determinant of matrix and inverse matrix. He knows methods for solving a system of linear algebraic equations. He knows vector rules in 3-D space. He knows basic ideas of differential and integral calculation for functions of single variable. Student be able to use methods of matrix calculations to solving a system of linear equations. He can apply matrix calculations to solving a problem in analytical geometry in 3-D space. He can apply a differential calculations to analysis of variability of function. He be able to use an integral methods to geometric calculations.

Competences: Student appreciates a necessity of exact problems formulation and selection of specific calculation methods to solve its. He understand an important sense of technical sciences in environmental and spatial management.

Course content: Matrix calculation. Determinant. Inverse matrix. System of linear equations. Theorem of Cramer and Kronecker-Capelli. Gauss’s method of elimination. Analytical geometry in 2-D and 3-D space. Vector calculation. Equations of straight line and plane. Second order surface and curve. Elements of differential calculations. Limit of sequence and function. Derivative of function. Asymptotes. Variability of function. Integral calculation and geometric use.
