Learning outcomes: Knowledge: 1. A student has spatial imagination in rural and urbanized areas; 2. A student knows the principles of drawing techniques useful for visualizing the design concept as well as unifocal and bifocal perspective; 3. A student knows the ways of transferring field observations into the design. Skills: 1. A student has mastered skills of drawing basic geometric solids and fragments of urban and rural landscape; 2.A student is able to think creatively in the field of spatial planning; 3. He/she can present the design in linear and chiaroscuro drawing ( e.g. of recreational space, small architecture, communication strings, greenery); can measure the proportions of objects.
Competences: Social competences: Students can see the qualities of the Polish landscape and their locality; plan creatively new activities in the field of spatial planning taking into account the aesthetic values of the compositional dominant; can propose a colourful drawing vision of a garden or a fragment of a modern city.
Prerequisites: A student has spatial imagination in rural and urbanized areas; knows the principles of drawing techniques useful for visualizing the design concept as well as unifocal and bifocal perspective.
Course content: Principles of linear and chiaroscuro drawing of basic solids. Ways of visualizing design concepts by means of bifocal perspective. Ways of creating and presenting objects (i.e. Market Square buildings, small architecture, recreational objects, balconies, terraces, ponds). Calculating the proportions of objects and mapping them on a sheet of paper. The technique of showing three-dimensionality. Composition and landscape qualities of rural and urbanized areas in art. Visualization of the design concept. Ways of creating and presenting objects (i.e. Market Square buildings, small architecture, recreational objects, balconies, terraces, ponds). Field observations from different points of the horizon and field sketches.
