Learning outcomes: The student after completion of the course should have knowledge about the shaping issues of the urban greenery. He should competently assess the real value of urban green areas (state, structure and function). The student should be able to identify lines of action in the selection of woody plants in the urban agglomeration.

Course content: Classification basics of green areas. The role of woody plants in an urban - industrial environment. The specificity of the urban environment - the conditions for growth of woody plants. The spatial structure of dendroflora and the functional efficiency. The methodological study assessing the spatial structure of urban dendroflora example of the urban city of Wroclaw. Green as part of the urban composition. Dendroflora in an urban landscape - the elements of adjustment. Criteria for proper selection of plants for urban areas. Principles of green making around the educational institutions.
