Learning outcomes: Students should know about evolutionary processes, rules and principals of organic evolution. Character of progress and evolutionary complexity of organisms and their assemblages in association with abiotic environment. Student will have practical knowledge on the Darvin’s theory, taxonomy, and phylogeny of organism. on directions of their adaptations and on dynamics of ecosystems in particular geological periods

Competences: After completing the course students will know about evolutionary biology. This will allow students to continue studies in related fields, to carry out research or to be a teacher of biology.

Prerequisites: Prerequisites: Geology, Evolutionary geology, Invertebrate Zoology, Vertebrate Zoology

Course content: External and internal mechanisms and evolutionary factors; rules and principals of the origin of life and biomes; modern views on the evolution of various levels of biome organisation; adaptive origin and ontogenesis, micro- and macroevolution
