Learning outcomes: Student in the time of the course purchases theoretical knowledge and practical skills that allows him to understand build and processes inside living cell. Student will be able to characterize organisms functioning on subcell, cell and tissue level. Student knows and understands phenomena within many kinds of living cells, including pro- and eucaryota. Student discerns animal, plant and bacteria cells. Student knows build of all important cell structures, understands intercellular communication, energetic processes, catalysis, biosynthesis, protein structure and functioning and intermembranes transport.

Competences: completion of the course makes possible to work in cytological laboratory and to lead research about cell build and functioning.

Prerequisites: zoology, chemistry, biochemistry

Course content: prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell biology, interactions between different kinds of cells in organisms, cells dividing, microscopy
