Learning outcomes: Ater completing the course students will be able to characterize each stage of pre- and postnatal development of an organism as well as recognize microscopic images of different stages of embryonic development.

Competences: Pssing the course permits working in laboratories where tissues are cultured and cytogenetic studies are carried out.

Prerequisites: biochemistry, genetics, anatomy and histology, cell biology

Course content: The overall purpose of the course is to provide students with theoretical and practical background concerning cell differentiation, early development, genetic regulation of developmental processes, morphogenesis, organogenesis and signal transduction.
