Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student- knows that organisms may be good bioindicators. Can name and distinguished groups of indicator organisms; knows the basic biological indices to assess the state of the environment, knows the specifics of interpretation of the results of analyzes based on biological indices; knows the concepts and terms from the scope of the course topics. Skills: Student - is able to plan and carry out field research assessment environment using biological indices; knows how to imply affiliation species using the keys ; is prepared to assess and measure the impact of human activities on ecosystems .

Competences: Student is able to work in a team; is responsible for their own safety as well as others in the work carried out in the laboratory and in the field.

Prerequisites: -

Course content: Bioindicators - plants, invertebrates and vertebrates, kinds of biological index, calculating of biological index.

Assessment methods: The written examination of material carried in lectures and exercises. Students must pass the exam at least a satisfactory grade. In the event of unsatisfactory, the student must improve it.
