Learning outcomes: Showing human populations as specifically biological systems. Students obtain the practical skill of opinion and prognose some biological and demographic processes by mathematical methods.

Competences: Practical skills assessment and forecasting some biological and demographic processes by mathematical methods.

Prerequisites: genetics, genetics of population (recommended)

Course content: Adaptation, adaptability, adjustation. Adaptation factors now and in the past. Adaptation mechanisms based on genetic transmission. Demographical specification of human populations. The size of population. Number of individuals in groups. Distribution and migrations. Fertility, mortality, mating, reproduction. Elements of population genetics. Some problems of non-genetic ways of adaptation in human populations. Genesis of races. Bio-cultural evolution. Interrelationships in human populations.
