Learning outcomes: Students are familiar with simple calculations with complex numbers, differential and integral calculations for one and two-variable functions, have an overview of a non-calculus based introduction to application of modern statistical methods including descriptive and inferential statistics.

Competences: After completing of the course student will be able to do calculations with complex domain, can do and apply differential and integral calculations, will be acquainted with modern concepts of statistical thinking and its foundations, will be prepared for further study in statistical methods and random phenomena.

Prerequisites: Basics of Mathematics

Course content: Complex numbers, differential and integral calculus of one and two-variable function, difference equations, basic concepts of statistics, statistical measures, range estimation and statistical hypothesis testing – fundamental notions.
