Learning outcomes: Student: Knows the technology and organization of construction processes related to the water management facilities. Knows the conditions for execution and acceptance of earthworks, bricklaying and concrete work. Knows the risks to human life and health as well as the environment cause by the construction works. Skills Is able to select the proper equipment to works execution and estimate the their work characteristic. Can prepare a schedule of works as well as a schedule of expenditures. Is able to develop the construction site accordance with the regulations of law, safety and environmental protection.

Competences: Proposes the ways to improve the efficiency of construction projects execution.

Prerequisites: Water and Land Reclamation Engineering, Soil Mechanics and Foundation; Civil Engineering

Course content: The principle of optimal course of the construction process, which results in an object in the field of water management. Participants of construction projects. Design documentation and documents prepared during the construction. Organization of the construction works. On-site preparation works, earthworks, bricklaying and concrete works. Transport within construction. Construction schedules. Construction site development. The rules of the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and environmental protection during construction. Modeling and analysis of financing construction projects. Schedule and cost risk. Basic concepts of the construction process. The specificity of construction works. Participants of construction projects. The realization of construction projects systems. Design documentation and documents prepared during the construction. Basic concepts of the organization of the construction works. Characteristics of earth structure and earthworks. Technology and organization of earthworks, bricklaying and concrete works. Transport within construction. Construction site development. Environmental protection within construction process. The rules of the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) during construction. Modeling and analysis of financing construction projects. Time management. Work Measures. Schedules. Schedule and cost risk.
