The course in English will be available if a minimum of 6 students sign up for a group. If less than 6 students sign up for the group, the course will be available in Polish with the possibility of individual support in English.

Learning outcomes: 1. Student knows the stages of the designing process for various forms of greenery associated with architecture. 2. Student can mention contemporary alternative ways for making green urban space. 3. Student can describe how different forms of greenery have influence on the environmental conditions of space. Skills 1. He knows what the fields of science involves the design and creation of alternative forms of greenery. 2. Student can design form of the plant unrelated to the ground with the use of a special construction. 3. Student can present own invention for the construction with plants in technical drawing and visualization.

Competences: 1. Student is aware that the designing of urban space must correspond to the sustainable development ideas. 2. Student understand designing should to be in accordance with the needs of both the user and the environment. 3. Student understand the validity of the integrated approach in the public space designing with the use of alternative forms of greenery.

Prerequisites: Mathematics, plant biology, principles of landscape design, physiography, general construction and building materials in landscape architecture, law, economics and management, flora and fauna

Course content: Subject teaches urban space designing with using alternative forms of vegetation. It formed in students the need to find new solutions for greenery in constructions are not related to the ground, which are environmentally friendly and economical in the urban interiors. Subject teaches how to use integrated solutions which have the positive impact on climate, water conditions and biodiversity. The idea / definition of alternative greenery - looking for ideas. Trial to create independent plant element for use in small scale / mobile / modular / universal. The concept of design the object / interior using alternative greenery (green roofs, green walls, green container, mobile greenery, etc.).
