Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student - Student is able to interpret biological processes, knows research methodology, can prepare interesting presentation; is able to use statistics to describe, analyse and interpret biological data. Skills: Student - is able to prepare data basis and then analyses data using statistical methods; after statistical analysis of data student is able to interpret results correctly.
Competences: Student is aware of a need of permanent education and improving skills

Course content: New genetic markers used in poplation genetics and bioinformatic algorithms applied in the analysis of genetic structure of populations are discussed based on latest studies published in leading scientific journals.
