Learning outcomes: Knowledge The student has a basic knowledge of theoretical concepts of rural development. He indicates the conditions and mechanisms for the development of economic, social and cultural development of the region. The student knows the chosen methods of planning and analysis of rural development. Skills The student correctly identifies the key factors for rural development He uses appropriate methods of measurement and diagnosis direction and pace development of the region and municipalities; both macro-, meso- and micro. He proposes methods and instruments to support regional and local development

Competences: Student appreciates the need for continuous improvement of knowledge and skills. The student is able to work with people with different worldviews, cultures and socio-economic status He resolves dilemmas in rural development

Prerequisites: Knowledge of economy

Course content: The concept of strategic planning, concept development strategy of the community and its place in the hierarchy of strategic documents, the structure of the commune development strategy, the diagnosis of area development, SWOT analysis, SMART analysis, sources of financing, monitoring
