Learning outcomes: The student knows and understands basic and detailed issues in the field of scientific disciplines (and related) in which he conducts research. He knows principles, the latest theories and concepts. He knows the methodology of conducting research in the discipline associated with ongoing research and creat new theories and research methodology.

Competences: The PhD student is able to obtain information from various sources (also in foreign languages) and to make their proper selection and interpretation. He is able to - plan and carry out his own research project in methodologically correct way - document the results of his research work, and write a scientific publications, also in a foreign language. A student is aware of the need for critical evaluation of scientific achievements in the field related to the ongoing research and the preservation of self-criticism in the assessment of their scientific achievements. He understands the need for continuous improvement of the research workshop based on the latest achievements of science and the respect of the principle of public ownership of scientific research results, taking into account the principles of intellectual property protection.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of scientific disciplines related to research conducted within the framework of a doctoral thesis

Course content: The PhD student will learn how to develop methodology, conduct research, and analyze and develop research results.. Introduction to new theories and research methods. Review of research discipline issues. Clarification and discussion of the research problem in the context of current scientific literature. Selection and discussion of the framework and the detailed scope of research (methodology, methods, techniques, research tools). Conducting a research experiment. Study results, critical analysis with reference to current scientific literature. Development of presentations and a report from the research.

Assessment methods: Passing on the basis of a positive assessment of the presented paper/presentation and prepared report. Credit on the basis of the speeches and discussions at the seminar
