Learning outcomes: The course expands the knowledge about the origin, occurrence, magnitude, as well as utilization perspectives of natural resources.
Competences: Students will have the knowledge about the most important natural resources in Poland, including their resources, occurrence, methods of exploitation and its influence on several compartments of the environment
Prerequisites: geology and geochemistry, environmental protection (basic courses)
Course content: Theory of natural resources. Biological resources. Polish and world’s resources of coal, oil and gas, metal ores, sulphur, salts and rock materials. Influence of resources exploration on the environment. Sustainable economic development and protection of natural resources.
