Learning outcomes: Students acquire basic knowledge of the departments of technology and the risks present in their environment. Can recognize and name the main groups of machines. Understands the principles of their work. Knows examples of technical systems related to agriculture.

Competences: Student is able to analyze the harm of technical solutions for chosen environment. He has knowledge of the applicable remedies. Can serve as the environmental specialist in the community. He can work as an oversight in the Institutions of inspection and as a constructor of environmental protection equipment.

Prerequisites: Process engineering, environmental protection

Course content: Lectures 30h: Fundamentals of mechanical engineering, machine components. Hydraulic systems, seals, pumps, pneumatic transport. Fans. Engineering heat, heat engines. Energy engineering. Boilers and furnaces, heating systems, waste heat and renewable energy sources, electrical engineering, electric motors, batteries, farm machinery and their impact on the environment.. Exercise 30h: Theoretical and practical analysis. Observations of various technical systems in the laboratory.

Assessment methods: The exercises are classified on the basis of reports from laboratories. Lecture classified after a written exam. Final rating: 50% of exercises, 50% of the exam.

Comment: At the request of the students it is possible to write the sub-half test after the realization of the half material during the lecture.
