Learning outcomes: Student obtains knowledge about rules of work place design, especially about work places in farm work environment taking into account the physical and psychical limits of working man. It helps to understand the physical, chemical, biological and accident hazards that are present during performing of different tasks. Student also obtains the elementary knowledge about author`s rights
Competences: After the course student is able to localize and to assess the level of hazards on the work places in agriculture. He/she is also able to select the proper means to eliminate or to reduce the level of hazard. Student knows how to use the literature without to violate of author`s rights.
Prerequisites: Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics, Human biology
Course content: Ergonomics as a cross – disciplinary sciences. History of ergonomics. Structure of current ergonomics. Human – Machine System. Ergonomics and Technology in agriculture. Geometry of work place and using Anthropometrics data. Work with Visual Display Terminals.Displays and controls on mobile work places.Physical and mental workload. Noice on the work place. Vibration. Hot and cold workplaces. Chemical and biological hazards. Accident hazards in agriculture. Author and patent rights.
