Learning outcomes: Student is able to make the economic assessment of the operation of the farm as a whole and of certain economic activities. Able to ask about the advisability of certain economic activities in the precise future in respect of the farm as well as for horticultural production industry as a whole. The student uses the cost-effectiveness, taking into account the nature of the decision-making account of opportunity cost. He can fill out tax returns on doing business in the field of horticultural production.

Competences: Student uses measures of socio-economic development in the assessment of market gardening, horticulture is able to characterize in terms of diversification of the agrarian structure, organizational and legal forms, forms of ownership and sectors, it can choose a particular form of organizational - legal as well as funding for specific conditions to establish themselves business, is able to characterize the farm and gardening in general in terms of the factors of production.

Prerequisites: Completed courses of economics, the freedom to use a spreadsheet.

Course content: The course is carried out activities related to the subject of legal, natural and economic determinants of the functioning of agricultural and horticultural production in Poland, the economic aspects of the horticultural farm - such as the cost of economic activity and categories of production, and measures of its profitability, their calculations, financial reporting, analysis economic (especially financial), economic and social indicators and measures of characterizing agriculture, factors of production and the typology of households, economic assessment of investment in agriculture, as well as selected elements of agricultural policy: tax credits and subsidies in agriculture.

Assessment methods: The lecture - written exam: minimum level of knowledge about 60%, Classes - credit thematic blocks (minimum 60% of messages), the evaluation of their own thematic studies, the final assessment will be the average of the above.
