Learning outcomes: The student after completion of the course should be able to design the landscape architecture objects associated with water; know the principles of sustainable management of water in the urban landscape; demonstrate a working knowledge of design areas in the vicinity of the water. The student should have the ability to work in a team and ability to present graphic and oral the design concepts.

Competences:

Prerequisites: Preceding subjects: Theory and design rules, Design I, Design II, Design III.

Course content:  Discussion of issues of sustainable water management in the urban landscape (water in the public space of the city, water in the neighborhood - housing estate - space).  Technical and aesthetic aspects of design elements of the small architecture elements related to water (fountains, mini-ponds, waterfalls, rain garden).  Designing the joint between land and water in the urban landscape (riverside boulevards, marinas, ports).  Landscaping of the river valleys in the open landscape together with elements of infrastructure (areas for recreation and tourism, areas resorts).
