Learning outcomes: The student after completion of the course should know the rules of perspective and color themes in the presentation of elements of the landscape architecture, he should know the techniques of painting and drawing, and practically apply the knowledge of art in his projects.

Competences:

Prerequisites: Preceding subjects: Drawing and sculpture. The scope and contents of the material has been agreed with class conductors Drawing and sculpture.

Course content:  The concept of linear and aerial perspective helpful in arts projects(the theory of Leonardo de Vinci,S.Botticelli).  The characteristics of the sentimental gardens in French and Italian paintings of eighteenth century.  Visit the National Museum - exhibition of landscape painting Neoclassicism and Romantic.  Impressionistic approach of light and color in an open landscape paintings and still life.  The proportion of a sitting and standing figures in the background of the architecture and trees.  Subjective color, distinct from the naturalistic color (E. Nolde, V. van Gogh, P. Gouguin).  Design in the form of mock-up. Cubist approach by P. Cezanne and abstraction in painting.  Composition in drawing and painting. Landscape of the surrealist artists.  Visit the National Museum – Polish painting of the impressionists and colorists (inter alias Wyczółkowski, Podkowiński, Stanisławski).  Expressionist approach to the landscape paintings on the example of E. L. Kirchner, E. Munch, J. Ensor.  Groups of figures in the garden and the park.  Secession referring to the Japanese art in the presenting of plants and water.  Projects of the green architects from the XIX century to the XXI century.  Deformation and realism of the nature forms in the modern painting e.g. G. Grosz, O. Kokoschka, G. Munter.
