The course in English will be available if a minimum of 6 students sign up for a group. If less than 6 students sign up for the group, the course will be available in Polish with the possibility of individual support in English.

Learning outcomes: The student after completion of the course should know the general basis for the design of spatial composition, physiographic analysis, shaping of the elements of land development, and have a general understanding of legislation for the protection and management of the landscape, he should be able to design the area around the public facility, know how to draw up the technical documentation.

Competences: ability to design, selection and use of sources, methods and materials in accordance with the applicable rules

Prerequisites: Preceding subjects: Principles of landscape design.

Course content: The theme of the project is a small landscape interior, located in a specific area of the city, which students must first learn through a simplified urban and landscape inventory, make simplified ecofisiographical and then execute the project of land development of that land.Type and scope of classes: Class 1. Discussion of the curriculum. Cloistered classes (memory map). Class 2. Review of studies carried out in the literature targeting shaping of public spaces. Presentations (Power Point). Class 3-5. Design etude: a magical place. Class 6. Review of studies made of the site (photo documentation, main viewpoints axes, viewpoints, zones for visibility, or shades). Class 7-8. The initial concept of land development (projection, the characteristic cross-sections). – A minimum of 3 options. Class 9. Concept selection. Class 10-11. Physiographic studies. The concept of land development – continued. Class 12. Giving back of the project: presentation and discussion of work in the hall (formation concept of the area floor, cross-sections - figure A3). Class 13-14. Corrections, giving back of dendrology inventory, plant selection. Class 15. Giving back of project together with the poster.
