Learning outcomes: The student after completion of the course should be prepared to carry out of projects with a higher degree of complexity in accordance with current drawings standards. He should know the signs of building materials, principles of dimensioning and performance of descriptions. He must master the ability to design, selection and use of sources, methods and materials in accordance with the applicable rules.

Prerequisites:

Course content: Design methods in construction, types of engineering design, variant solutions, decision-making and information processes in the design. Heuristic, systematic, system, directory methods, model design. Basics of design in conjunction with the findings of studies and plans of the spatial development. Programming and design. General principles of composition, the initial terms and definitions. Rhythm, arrangement, system, symmetry, asymmetry. Dimensions - proportions - space. The laws, regulations and standards in the design of landscape architecture objects. The planes and solids, the interplay in space. Human scale - the scale of the project, modulators, basis of ergonomics Components of the project and composition: function, form, structure. The role of the object function, the function compatible with the structure and form. The role of the object construction. The role of the material and its relationships with the environment and surroundings. The texture and color of the material, color and formal effects. Restoration protection, revalorization of garden and landscape set up. Protection zones, adaptation to the contemporary needs. The rules of composition, the composition of the architectural solids, form shaping, composition of planes and elevations. Basic guidelines for the design and the current regulations. Residential buildings (single and multifamily). Public buildings (services, commerce, education, health, culture, recreation). Building relationship with the environment. Protection and shaping of the environment in the design phase. The impact of human activities on the environment, transformation and degradation of the natural environment. Harmonious and disharmonious activities, assonances and dissonances. Destructive construction activity. The role of green in the design. Connection of the interior to the environment, possibility of using green for correction and retouching of the architectural and spatial solutions. Effect of climate on design solutions, the formation of microclimate. Natural and artificial light. Optical illusions. Sounds, sound protection, acoustic insulation.
