Learning outcomes: The student during the course purchases theoretical knowledge in the range of the acquaintance and practical skills in the field of investigative process in support about current methodology in natural sciences in the aim of writing the masters thesis. The participant prepares itself to scientific and creative solving the scientific problems, formulating investigative hypotheses, the skill of the selection of the material and methods, logical presenting the review of literature and the leading of discussion on the subject of the own presentation.

Competences: Passing I part of the seminars signifies getting skills in - applying the appropriate tools to accumulating data, the qualification of the character of (quantitative or qualitative, empirical or obserwacyjno-descriptive)investigations, - characterizing content filling the basic sections of the scientific work, including bibliography, - acknowledgment of the techniques of the data analysis, - presenting data gathered so far to masters paper as the Power Point presentation.

Prerequisites: Methodology of the biological sciences, biostatistics, bioethics, protection of intellectual properties

Course content: aims and the methods of the seminar lessons, structure and the aim of the scientific work, the review of the literature, work in the library and with the literature, the preparation of presentations from the range of the subject matter of the masters paper, the introduction of reports in the oral and written form, improvement of the skill of the effective scientific discussion.
