Learning outcomes: On the basis of previously acquired basic knowledge of the farming of pigs and supplemented the content of the lectures students will become proficient to the rational development of preliminary plans for the project pig fattening farm. The assumptions take into account all of these standards in force in the countries of the European Union in the production of pigs in terms of preserving the natural environment. Students receive theoretical knowledge of determinants in decision-making on the construction, equipment and technology of pig production, supported by a visit to the farm.

Competences: Completion of the course will undertake work associated with the development of production technology and design of pigs farm.

Prerequisites: Fundamentals of breeding and pig farming, knowledge of physiology and the basis for feeding pigs.

Course content: Consultation on the current situation of pig production in the country and around the world and the factors ensuring the healthy and profitable production in terms of compliance with conservation values of natural environment around farm pigs.

Assessment methods: Compulsory exercises combined with a credit exam - a store of knowledge to pass the course:70%.
