Learning outcomes: Practical skills how to evaluate horse management conditions, evaluate horse health condition, administration of no technical help during sudden accidents with risk of health deprivation, skills in preparation and dealing with mare during the reproduction period and care of foal.
Competences: Work in stud farm, supervision on horse reproduction.
Prerequisites: Subjects about animal husbandry.
Course content: Husbandry conditions in studs, outside run, course and rangeland, the most common infectious, not infectious and invasion diseases and also the methods of their prevention i.e. program of vaccination, low regulations relative infectious diseases, transport in Poland and transport inn EU. Topics related to reproduction: heat and possibilities of heat manipulation, fertilization, pregnancy and parturition, care of foal during the postnatal period.
